![]() OMG! That thread has 54 pages. I'm only on page 3, and my chest hurts, and I'm gasping for breath, 'cause I'm laughing so hard! Charlie sure is a dork. An obnoxious, slimy, rip-off dork. And a really, really stupid dork. You don't think he and Skippy could be one and the same, do you?

'Holy e-owned $hytt balls, did anyone read that pirate4x4 forum??? They got EVERYTHING on that kid hahhaha, oh my god. Note to self: Never pi$$ off a bunch of crazy az four wheelers...even though they seem like they arn't technoligically advanced, it's JUST a front ' Naw, we ain't all that advanced, but our ol'ladies are compewter pogrammer and the like. . . ." and "What really makes me chuckle about this whole ordeal is reading many of the spin-off threads being posted on other boards. I'm amazed how many blissfully ignorant people out there think that everyone who enjoys wheeling (or any sort of automotive hobby for that matter), is a shine swilling, overall wearing, straw sucking, hoedowning, holler hollering, tar paper shack living, cousin kissing, coon hunting, banjo playing, NFA cap wearing, corncob pipe smoking, possum and gizzard sandwich eating, 7th grade dropout redneck with an IQ hovering in the 80-85 range and who thinks the "internet" is some new type of fishing tackle. I guess I'll go back to playin' my fiddle by the crick until the white lightnin' is finished brewin'. Later y'all. "

Re: Stupid Criminals
Aren't all of us really the most stupid criminals of all? Yah, we can laugh at the stuff we read, but how about the average citizen who
throws metal and plastic re-cycylables in the raw garbage... throws batteries in the raw garbage... throws cigarettes butts out of the window of his car... takes a ciggie break at work, stomps his cigarette out on the cement and wonders why his employer finally makes it "non-smoking." throws fece-filled pampers in parking lots... the lists goes on and on. But in reality, stupid criminals get the limelight for a few minutes - while us other stupid criminals perpetrate crimes against Mother Nature and humanity 24/7. |

I can't tell you how may disposable diapers I've picked up in popular off roading areas near to town. You don't see them out in the sticks. But, an issue near and dear to my heart, is now more people have vehicles to get to areas to tear them up, if that's what they do. There's a lack of education here. Hey, I smoke, but I always field strip my cig butts when I want to put them out without an ashtray or can present. Then I put the butt in my back pocket. I can't stand seeing butts on the landscape or a pristine environment. What you're seeing is a world where the rules are changing, or maybe not enforced. Some people, instead of fighting against this, simply give up and move elsewhere where the invasion isn't imminent.

As for more vehicles? Yes, our area in Northern Illinois has exploded and I know many areas of the country are going thru the same thing. Where is that little piece of pristene paradise? I wish I could move to a 50 acre plot in Montana, but the sloppies won't be far behind! When my kids were little, we discarded the 'solids' in the toilet, then the diaper went into a pail with bleach to soak before washing. Nowadays, some parents think nothing of throwing a soiled disposable diaper onto the road or a parking lot. These are the same people who get irate if they step in a pile of dog crap. I have noticed with this population explosion there seems to be a loss of caring. Maybe it's time to bring back that commercial where the Indian man is crying at the sight of the debris floating in the river. If the parents today don't start worrying about this stuff - what will their grandchildren have? And something else - we need to get all the vehicle heights standardized. Big SUV's crashing onto little Hyundai's. It's a tragic mess. |

Re: Stupid Criminals
My next door neighbor (age 65) lives with her son (age 45). They refuse to recycle. So her raw garbage dumpster contains not only potato peelings, etc., but also 7 days of the local newspaper, plus plastic milk cartons, detergent bottles, bleach jugs, tin cans from 7 nights of dinner, etc.
I feel like kicking her in the butt. Why don't towns enforce recycling? People who don't recycle should be fined, big time. But that means hiring another person to ride on the fly truck, his job would entail sifting thru the crap. See? No one wants the responsibility. We just keep shoveling the crap into landfills. BTW, a 40 year-old newspaper is still readable if you were to dig down into the mound. But, then a developer sweet-talks the town, builds a 200 home subdivision next door to the garbage dump. And each home sells for $400K. Go figure. And the new homeowners only complain when the wind comes from the north! |

Re: Stupid Criminals
Hey, Kenodenis, we've been here through thick and thin, agreeing and disagreeing. and when it comes down to smoking we're in the minority. I don't mind that. Actually I don't like it, it's just that I'm addicted to it.

Gruesome and sad.
I actaully feel very sorry for these two dummies.
I don't know how you actually go about nominating somebody for a Darwin award, but I would say that these two definitely qualify. From yesterday's UT: Suspect jumps off bridge to death Two new Darwin Award nominees leap off of a 130 foot bridge to their deaths (1 may still be barely alive). These two Darwin candidates were in a stolen vehicle being chased by police when they literally took a leap of faith from a bridge into an almost zero visibility fog... and fell over 100 feet. I daresay not the escape they were expecting. Darwin strikes again.

At the time I had a neat Jeep CJ5. Not that I'm advocating drinking and driving, but sometimes I'd pick up a six-pack for after work, where I'd drive up the canyon instead of down. There was a neat area behind the next dam up the canyon, where you used to be able to off-road to your heart's content. Before a flood cleared all the trash out I noticed the major things people would leave were disposable diapers and chicken containers. The amount of vehicles who use the area today has at least quadrupled in size. I tend to go further and further out, like north of San Diego into Death Valley, where things are still somewhat pristine. I don't understand why people don't realize it makes it better for everyone if you take your trash back out with you.

Try going here: http://www.darwinawards.com/ If you click the "Contact Darwin" link near the bottom left-hand corner of the page, you will get instructions on how to submit a story. That story certainly deserves serious consideration!
